In an effort to improve safety in backcountry airstrips, the Kodiak 100 aircraft has been equipped with defibrillators. The aircraft, which is designed for short takeoffs and landings in difficult terrain, will be able to quickly transport the defibrillators to remote areas. This will allow for faster response times in the event of a cardiac emergency.
